My name is Elley Arrington and I am engaged to the love of my life and will be a married woman as of June 16th, 2018! I graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing in art, and have no idea what I want to be when I grow up (besides being a mom and a wife lol). So as of now I am slowly but surely entering into the big girl world  just working away while planning a wedding with my amazing fiancė.

My mind is overflowing with all things creative. I always have some type of project in the works. Everywhere I go and I see something I like, before I buy it my first thought is “I can make this. But so much cuter and for so much cheaper”. Half the time I recreate it or I decide I don't need an extra thing in my house. I truly believe that everyone has the capability of being creative! It is so cool getting to share an eye for beauty with the creator of the universe and I want to help everyone see that they can join in too.

My hope is that as I walk through different journeys and open new and unfamiliar chapters you walk with me and enjoy the recipes, DIY’s, decor, wedding planning, and encouragement you will find here. A lot happens in this life but it is important to take a second and enjoy the beauty in it all. Beauty in today's culture tends to mean over the top and overflowing in expensive details. But I believe that we are all called to simplicity in everything we do to make room for the things that are most important; Jesus, family, and community.

As I wake up each new day, my heart desires to find the beautiful simplicity it has to offer. It is truly a call in my life to strive after living out the simplicity of the gospel as well as having all aspects of my life reflecting that truth.
